1. Introduction
1.1Translationworks, a trading name of Pro Translations Hub Ltd. (“us”, “we”, “our”), understands that your privacy is important to you and is committed to being transparent about the technologies it uses. Our website https://www.translationworks.eu/ uses cookies.
1.2Insofar as those cookies are not strictly necessary for the provision of our services we will ask you to consent to our use of cookies when you first visit our website.
2. About cookies
2.1A cookie is a file containing an identifier (a string of letters and numbers) that is sent by a web server to a web browser and is stored by the browser. The identifier is then sent back to the server each time the browser requests a page from the server.
2.2Cookies may be either “persistent” cookies or “session” cookies: a persistent cookie will be stored by a web browser and will remain valid until its set expiry date, unless deleted by the user before the expiry date; a session cookie, on the other hand, will expire at the end of the user session, when the web browser is closed.
2.3Cookies may not contain any information that personally identifies a user, but personal data that we store about you may be linked to the information stored in and obtained from cookies.
3. Cookies that we use
3.1We use cookies and similar technologies (your browser’s local and session storage) for the following purposes:
(a) Cookie Type: Strictly Necessary/Technical
These are necessary to allow us to operate our website so you may access it as you have requested, and they cannot be switched off. We use two, both kept in your browser’s storage and never sent to us: “tw-consent-v1” (local storage, no expiry date; clearing your browser data removes it) remembers your cookie choices so we don’t ask you again, and “tw-logo” (session storage) remembers, for the current visit only, that the logo animation has already played.
(b) Cookie Type: Analytical/Performance
These Cookies are used by us or third-party service providers to analyse how the website is used and how it is performing. For example, these cookies track what pages are most frequently visited, and from what locations our visitors come. We use Google Analytics 4 for this (see 4.2), and only if you allow “Analytics” in Cookie settings.
(c) Cookie Type: Functionality
These cookies let us operate the website in accordance with the choices you make and “remember” you in-between visits. We do not currently use functionality cookies on this website.
(d) Cookie Type: Third Party Advertising
These cookies collect information about your activities on this site to provide you targeted advertising. We do not currently use advertising or remarketing cookies on this website. If we start, they will only be set with your consent (“Marketing” in Cookie settings), and we will list them in this policy and in our Privacy Centre first.
4. Cookies used by our service providers
4.1Our service providers use cookies and those cookies may be stored on your computer when you visit our website, but only after you have allowed them in Cookie settings. Until then, our website makes no requests to them.
4.2We use Google Analytics 4 on our website. It is only loaded after you allow “Analytics” in Cookie settings, and we use Google Consent Mode to pass your choice to Google. Google Analytics gathers information about the use of our website by means of cookies: “_ga” (distinguishes visitors) and “_ga_K9RYK7DD4D” (keeps the state of your visit), both of which expire after 2 years. The information gathered is used to create reports about the use of our website, including how many quote requests and job applications are sent, how many files are attached (the number only) and how often our phone number and email address are clicked. It never includes what you type into our forms. If you withdraw your consent, we stop Google Analytics and delete these cookies. Google Signals and Google’s advertising features are switched off, and we do not share Google Analytics data with Google for advertising purposes. You can find out more about Google’s use of information by visiting https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites and you can review Google’s privacy policy at https://policies.google.com/privacy. The relevant cookies are Analytical/Performance.
4.3We do not currently use Google Ads, remarketing or any other advertising cookies on our website.
4.4We do not use a Facebook (Meta) pixel, the LinkedIn Insight Tag or any other social media tracking on our website. Our links to LinkedIn and Facebook are ordinary links: those sites may set their own cookies only if you follow the link, under their own cookie policies.
